Celebrating Creativity in Older Age at Tigh Fili Gallery
Enjoy the Bealtaine Festival 2008 at Tigh Fili Gallery with an exhibition of mixed media by established local artists Mary Gough, Deirdre O’ Donnell, Mary Hurley, Eddie Powell, Noreen Walsh, Patricia Crowley, Stella Costello, Pat Walsh and Tony Ryan. The exhibition titled 'The Music in Me' will be opened on Thursday May 8th at 6pm.
A series of practical workshops will also run in tandem with the exhibition giving the public an opportunity to learn about and practice some of the techniques used by the artists in their work. The Bealtaine Festival is an annual national event celebrating creativity in older age. Bealtaine 2008 at Tigh Fili focuses on the voices and experiences of older people and encourages the idea that you are never too old to try something new!

The workshops are free of charge but places are limited so groups would need to book in advance. This programme is supported by the Dormant Accounts Fund.
