BEYOND FORM

Michael Gurhy and Siobhain Grace
Painter and video/photography

This group exhibition of 2 emerging Cork artists, graduates of the Crawford College of Art and Design is a combiaation of video, photography and painting.

Siobhains first marks painted on paper are greatly inspired by her surroundings and landscapes. In her work she combines the unknown mystical world to the existing material world.

Michaels work is about desire and the space between love and lust. "I want the audience to share my experience unaware of beig filmed or caught in acts of extreme intimacy. The viewer becomes present to the subjects unawareness. This consiousness pushes both the viewer and the subject to examine who we are beyond ego. This transforms acts of taboo into acts of beauty.

Beyond Form continues at Tigh Fili Gallery until August 11th
